About this tea

Premium Bi Luo Chun Green Tea

Bi Luo Chun, often translated as “Green Snail Spring”, is named for the shape of its leaves, each one rolled into a fine spiral. It is among the most celebrated green teas of China, and among the most delicate.

Ours comes from Hangzhou, in Zhejiang. We present it as our flagship: a tea that rewards attention and asks for little in return. Good water, a warmed vessel, a few unhurried minutes.

In hot water the spirals loosen and sink, and each infusion shows a slightly different side of the leaf.

Serve it in glass or fine porcelain, where the color of the cup and the slow movement of the leaves can be seen.

A gentle approach suits these fine leaves.

  • This tea has become my favourite cold brew tea this summer! Just can't get enough of it. It's refreshing, nutty and toasty. Shipping time could be faster but still received in 2 weeks (US), which is decent.

  • I love it! It tastes and smells really nice. I think it's the best for warm spring or summer days (especially mornings), when you have time to chill out and drink the tea slowly, so you could focus on the taste.

    Elizabeth

  • Thank you for this wonderful tea and the quick response to all my questions. I ordered 5 kg of this tea for reselling in my own tea shop and it's selling well. I will order again in about 2 months.

Pale green tea poured from a stoneware teapot into a speckled cup on a walnut tray, a scoop of leaves beside it.

The Ritual

Prepared with care, remembered for longer.

Warm the vessel. Measure the leaves. Pour, wait, and pay attention. The ritual of Chinese tea is simple, and it is the surest way to bring out everything a fine leaf has to offer.
